28 sports confirmed – theme and slogan for SAG 2027

The sports programme for the 14th South Asian Games remains the set agreed by SAOC member countries, covering 28 disciplines.

Confirmed sports include athletics, swimming, archery, badminton, basketball (3×3 and 5×5), billiards & snooker, boxing, cricket, fencing, football, golf, handball (and beach handball where scheduled), judo, hockey, kabaddi, karate, rowing, rugby, shooting, squash, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball & beach volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling and wushu.

The Games will run under the theme “Unity in South Asia, Strength in Sports” and the slogan “One Spirit, One Region, One Vision.”

Seven NOCs are expected: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan (host) and Sri Lanka.
