First SAG Coordination Committee includes OCA and four NOCs
According to Kathmandu-based reporting after the Islamabad SAOC meetings, organisers formed a Coordination Committee to oversee delivery of the 14th South Asian Games — described as the first such supervisory body in SAG history.
The committee is chaired by Nepal Olympic Committee president Jeevan Ram Shrestha, with the secretaries general of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan and representatives of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) also on the panel.
The same briefings stressed that every SAOC member had reaffirmed commitment to the April 2027 edition, and that India’s IOA had repeatedly signalled intent at council level even while joining Pakistan-hosted sessions by video.
