Punjab DDSC reviews South Asian Games preparations and venue upgrades

Punjab’s Departmental Development Sub-Committee (DDSC) has reviewed preparations for the South Asian Games and sports infrastructure across the province.

Secretary Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman chaired the meeting at Punjab Stadium, with Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi and senior Planning & Development and Finance officials among those present.

The committee undertook a comprehensive review of Games arrangements and approved key decisions on the rehabilitation and modernisation of sports facilities, aiming to bring venues up to international standards ahead of Lahore’s role as a 2027 host city.
