Games secretariat targeted for September; venues before 2027

Alongside the April date change, SAOC’s Islamabad meeting set organisational milestones for the host team.

• A dedicated South Asian Games Secretariat was expected to become operational by September 2026, to handle requirements from participating countries.
• Venue upgrading and related preparations were targeted for completion before January 2027.
• After that work, visiting NOCs may be invited again to inspect final arrangements.

POA leadership told regional delegates that formalities and infrastructure upgrades remain on track for a professionally delivered Games.
