14th South Asian Games — Pakistan 2027
Dates: 3–11 April 2027 · Host cities: Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar.
Expected scale: around 3,200–3,300 athletes, about 1,000 officials, and roughly 346 medal events across 28 sports (per organiser briefings; final programme subject to confirmation).
Motto: Peace, Prosperity, Progress.
Seven SAOC members compete: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan previously competed (2004–2016) and later left the SAOC.
Three-city format
Islamabad hosts the Opening and Closing Ceremonies plus 15 sports. Lahore stages 10 sports. Peshawar hosts 3 sports.
